For the release of Hunt Showdown 1896 and the update to CRYENGINE 5.11, I was tasked with helping to create CRYENGINE's new HDR Pipeline. This meant updating and re-grading our existing ToD's to fit within the landscape of our new map "Mammon's Gulch" as well as the new rendering pipeline.
We shifted our pipeline away from using Photoshop LUT's and opted to use Davinci Resolve .CUBE files instead. Davinci Resolve is now the new industry standard when it comes to Colour Grading so implementing this software as part of our pipeline was logical. Creating a new pipeline from scratch that is robust enough but also flexible enough to achieve all the things we wanted is no small feat. Took a long time with many iterations to get the final results as shown.
Major credit has to be given to David Arppe (Rendering Engineer) and Stefan Heinrich (Art Director) who I worked on this with!
